Welcome to Maple Grove UMC
Our mission is to be an open community of Christians who love God and serve our neighbors (Luke 10:27). We truly do believe and try to live out the slogan of our denomination's national ad campaign Open Doors, Open Minds, Open Hearts. Our ministry teams reflect our understanding that every member is a minister. Maple Grove is strategically located on the southwest corner of the busy High and Henderson intersection in the Clintonville-Beechwold area of Columbus which provides us a wonderful window to the world. We would like to invite you to join us for any of our events, especially Sunday morning worship and Sunday School.
Back to School Blessings!
August 21: Both Services
Join us at either 8:30 or 10:00 service for a BLESSINGS OF STUDENTS AND TEACHERS heading back to school. This worship service is a wonderful way to connect with your church family and start the school year off right. Bring a friend!
Continuing our Love Our Neighbor
Lecture and Luncheon Series
This lecture series continues to explore the challenge of living in a diverse world and the opportunity to make a Christian choice to love our neighbor.
At our August 21 Reconciling Ministries event an inter-generational panel will speak openly and honestly about the challenge of participating in the life of church as an LGBTQ person or an LGBTQ ally. We encourage you to come with a desire to grow in understanding about what it means to be a reconciling church where all gifts and talents are welcomed!
The Reconciling Ministries Network (RMN) is an organization dedicated to the inclusion of people of all sexual orientations and gender identities in both the policy and practices of United Methodist Church. Because we believe we can love alike, even though we may not think alike. Call the church office to register 614-262-1163 or click here.
Feed the World Sunday
August 28 @ 10 AM
It gets bigger every year--FEED THE WORLD SUNDAY! On Sunday August 28, at 10 AM, after a brief gathering in the sanctuary, we will disperse around the building to serve our neighbors. Individuals and entire families will be able to make a difference by feeding people locally, nationally, and globally. At Maple Grove we truly are an open community of Christians who love and serve our neighbors.
At about 11:00 we will all sit down and eat together. There will be an 8:30 worship service as usual.
