Welcome to Maple Grove UMC

Our mission is to be an open community of Christians who love God and serve our neighbors (Luke 10:27). We truly do believe and try to live out the slogan of our denomination's national ad campaign Open Doors, Open Minds, Open Hearts. Our ministry teams reflect our understanding that every member is a minister. Maple Grove is strategically located on the southwest corner of the busy High and Henderson intersection in the Clintonville-Beechwold area of Columbus which provides us a wonderful window to the world.  We would like to invite you to join us for any of our events, especially Sunday morning worship and Sunday School.

Human Trafficking ImageHuman Trafficking Conference
Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, 11 am - 2:30 pm

Human Trafficking is Modern Day Slavery. It is the selling or exploiting of women, children and men for commercial sex or labor. The most common form of trafficking in Ohio is sex trafficking, where the average age of entry is 13.

Some of the questions to be answered in this workshop on February 28:
- Why are so many people saying human trafficking is related to prostitution?
- What are the RED FLAGS and warning signs of human trafficking?
- How can I protect the women and girls I know from being preyed upon?
- What can I do to fight human trafficking?

All are welcome! Click here for more information about this important upcoming event. To register, click the Donations link on this page and select either the Turkey or Vegan lunch. Please RSVP by Monday, February 23, 2015
